NIKE SB P-Rod + Crew at Rucker Park

NIKE has been doing big things lately in the NYC, and in particular Rucker Park. This summer, they brought a crew of inspiration to the streets of Harlem in the form of Paul Rodriguez, Yongess Amrani, Shane O’Neill, Daniel LeBron, Ishod Wair, Theotis Beasley and Erik Koston.

P-Rod and the rest of the NIKE SB gang put their talents on display. The Polo Grounds, which is across the street from the world famous Rucker Park, was where NIKE set up the ramps for the skate demo. DJ Parler(pronounced “Parley” was spinning some sick old-school hip hop which set the chill atmosphere on a nice NYC summer afternoon with Bobbito Garcia and Dave Ortiz as emcee.

Afterward, the crew headed across the street to show the fans some love and signed autographs. It’s awesome to see fans off all ages come out and appreciate a sport which is seeing a strong resurgence in the streets. These days you see all types of kids on skateboards in all boroughs.
