Please excuse the upcoming fanboyism but um…holy sh!t!!! Out of no where Capcom releases the Resident Evil 6 trailer. I’m sitting here waiting for Operation Raccoon City to drop, having no idea if a new Resident Evil was even in the works, and boom! Epic nerdcore juices flowing through my veins. If you haven’t noticed, I’m a huge fan of the RE series. This goes back to the days where I used to beat Resident Evil 2 in less than 90 minutes just for fun. Back then, the games were great because they actually had to survive against the walking dead. The latter games were also fun but the element of battling the un-dead has been gone since RE3. From watching the trailer, it seems they’ve brought back some of those old-school RE elements as well as introducing some new ones. It’s great to see that it takes place in multiple locations, has new battle styles, a character that resembles Nemesis, oh and did I mention, Leon is back! Chris is back! and the stars of the whole muthaF’n series are back, ZOMBIES!!! I hope what Leon said in the trailer turns out to be true, “It’s like Raccoon city all over again.”
