Photography of Marvin Stavars

Stumbled upon the portfolio of Polish Photographer Marvin Stavars. Lot’s of photog’s tend to desaturate their photos for “atmosphere”. Maybe I’m just being a hater but I can rarely connect to the message they are trying to send when they use that technique, most times it’s just a black and white photo. I’m a designer by trade so I’m not really sure what goes into photography most of the time. However, somehow I can tell when a photo is built rather than shot. I felt that when I looked at these examples of B/W photos of Shanghai, Seoul, Tokyo and more in his portfolio.

Stunning photos. Inspiring me to go out and use my camera for once.
