Tokyo Auto Salon 2014 Part 3
Well, it’s the last day of January 2014. The month has gone by pretty quick, but before we let go of January, let’s take one last look back at Tokyo Auto Salon. The opening shot of the HKS Kamikaze GTR sets the tone, time for some GTR love!
Varis brought out their latest R35 sitting on the ever popular TE37 Ultra. You can probably tell from part 1 and part 2 that I’m a big Varis fan. Love the design of this kit, especially the front fenders seen below.
Tommy Kaira also debuted new aero bits for the R35. Looks like it’s a few subtle updates to their old black bison kit from a few years back.
Phoenix’s Power. These guys are all about performance. Big numbers good looks, that is all. Been a fan ever since that JDM Insider video years ago.
Top Secret R35. Need I say more?
R32 looking buff. I wonder how many of these we’ll see cruising the streets of the USA this year now that they’re legal. Hopefully quite a few!
Proshop SCREEN showed up with this R35. Their time attack FD is amazing. Would love to see what they do with this R35. Must say, the Top Secret kit looks great in this color as well.
BenSopra seemed a bit quiet this year in the R35 scene even though they had a new kit introduced. Their Z33 offerings more than made up for that though.
A couple of previous gen GTR’s. One Serious R32!
OVERTAKE full CF GTR. This car will take over the internet in the near future. You’ve been warned!
Speaking of full carbon fiber GTRs…
And finally, the NISMO GTR itself. No pricing announced yet but guessing this will be around the 150k range. Worth it? We’ll see!
Back to some other notables. Insane paint on this FRS.
Side shot of the SARTO Racing Rocketbunny CLK just because. Let’s check out some of the other rides at TAS:
Japan loves the PRIUS. They do things like this to them…
Love K-BREAK. Rear shot of the boss man’s LS.
SESSIONS M37 looking mean!
Top Secret mugs? Yes please!
Here are a couple of shots of WELD’s insane FRS build. Amazing paint, motor and body work here. Check the details in the motor below. Can you spot the RC wheel?
That’s our coverage. Hope you enjoyed our posts on TAS 2014! Next year, we’ll be out there for sure. Big thanks to our friends at Bulletproof Automotive for the photos. Here’s one last shot of their FRS Concept 1 during off show hours. The car is currently in Japan for a few interesting projects I’m sure we’ll hear about soon.
