Formula D Long Beach Paddock Part 1
One of my favorite parts of the Formula D experience is walking around the Paddock. It’s always great to have a front row seat to the competition cars and teams as they prep for battle. We arrived in Long Beach on Thursday afternoon. We left the airport, stopped by In-N-Out, (which was a must for us East Coast guys) then headed straight to the track. After the 6 hour flight, just taking a short walk through the lot was enough to get us excited for what we were about to witness. While we walked the paddock, we found an incredibly chill vibe as the preparations were underway, the calm before the drift storm that was to come. This being our first time at the Formula D season opener, it was awesome to get a glimpse at all of the new builds that were making their debuts. Of course we can see all of these cars online, but in person, as you know, it is an entirely different experience. We also ran across a couple of familiar faces such as Kei Miura of RocketBunny, and a handful of drivers that were found not too far away from their weapons of choice. SNTRL Fam Tim Durnak got right to it, capturing the vibe. Hope you enjoy part 1 of our paddock coverage!
Stay tuned for part 2, Paddock life on competition day.
