Formula D Texas Part 2

For part 2, Tim has captured a few more scenes from the battle that took place on Saturday. While we had a blast, it seems this round of FD had a bit of controversy when it came to judging as well as wait times. I guess things like this will always happen with events of this scale. Aside from all that, the event itself was probably the most hyped FD I’ve seen all year. I missed Atlanta, which is apparently the best round of the series when it comes to spectators, maybe next year! Regardless, the Texas crowd was amazing. People were excited screaming for their favorite drivers as they drifted before their eyes. One of the great moments was when Ryan Tuerck decided to not take an easy OMT win from Daigo who had stalled at the line. Ryan decided to be a good sportsman and wait for Daigo to get his car in order so that they could run. Now some may say there should have never been a OMT in the first place but hey, it happened. Glad we were all able to see that run go down. After that, it was a battle for the top spot between Forsberg and Aasbo. Forsberg, who had reached the podium at every FD event this year, did not make the top 3 in Texas. This gave Fredric Aasbo the chance to gain some much needed championship points. He would end up taking the top spot after repairing his car from a collision with Forsberg. While all of this was going down, badass drivers Forrest Wang and Odi Bakchis were making sure they made their marks in Texas. They were killing it all weekend and would take 2nd and 3rd place.

Next stop is Irwindale. We’re trying to get our butts out there to cover the final. Hopefully it all works out. Hope you enjoyed our coverage!
