XWingFTR STi Project
Our good friend Mike Love, a devoted fan and supporter of SNTRL for quite sometime, is one of the most die-hard enthusiast that builds for the Love and for a purpose. Back when his 2011 STI was bone stock, Mike talked about doing big things with his car. As most of you may know, those are usually hollow words that can be heard on a daily basis by friends, acquaintances, on social media, forums, etc. You name it, you’ve heard it in some way, shape or form. Everyone seems to be “coming hard next year”. For Mike Love though, he backed up his words with the goals that he set forth.
While the majority of car enthusiast build for their own satisfaction, or the satisfaction of others, Mike built his car for not just himself, but with a specific purpose. His goal: Breast Cancer Awareness and to take things a step further and reach his goal of raising $10,000, with 100% of the proceeds going towards “ScoobiesforBoobies.org” which supports “The Keep A Breast Foundation”. Wrapped in Pink-Digital-Camo, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness, and sitting static on those 18-inch Work Meister S1’s, the XWingFTR STi Project as Mike as officially called it, has traveled up and down the East Coast to various events and meets, breaking necks and spreading awareness. You may also recognize this particular STi from our SUBIE GANG Feature.
On November 17, 2013, the XWingFTR STi Project surpassed the $10,000 mark with a total of $10,470 in donations. Success through vision, proper-execution and hard-work. He set his goal, spread the word (including a CNN video on Breast Cancer Awareness which featured the XWingFTR STi Project), and made fans and friends in the process. Now, with the goal attained, Mike has some big plans for the 2014 make-over. Although he won’t divulge details of the next phase of his STi, he will say that he plans to put the same effort into the new vision and execution. In the meantime, enjoy these photos of Mike’s STi as we did our official test-run of “The PreGame” route a few days before the actual PreGame went down.

Yea, mike doesn’t shy away from “spirited” driving when the opportunity presents itself, but talking on the phone while driving? Nope. He’s actually parked in this photo.
Static in the NYC. Mike and the XWingFTR STi in the urban jungle and beyond.
