Enterprise comes home to NYC

Saturday 28 April, 2012 | By SNTRL

On the morning of Friday, April 27th, the  Space Shuttle Enterprise officially retired to her permanent home of New York City where she will be on display on the Intrepid in Manhattan. To kick off her arrival, NASA gave the New York Metropolitan area an incredible treat by doing a flyover tour of the Enterprise being piggy-backed on a NASA 747. It is one of those once-in-a-lifetime moments where you just have to watch in awe with great pride and truly appreciate what you see before you.

SNTRL’s Josh Balduf took a ferry ride from Battery Park to Jersey City to get a prime location for capturing these moments through his lens. If you may or may not have been able to witness this amazing event live, Josh brings life to the moment with his pictorial coverage. Enjoy!

Josh’s day started out in Astoria, Queens – Robert F. Kennedy Bridge and Hellgate Bridge

History in the making.
