The Fastest Car In The World
A Close Look at the Hennessey Venom GT.
The Hennessey Venom GT, the World’s Fastest 2-Seat Sports Car was recently at P1 Motorcars in Stamford, Connecticut. The Hennessey Venom GT is famous for it’s 270.49 mph run at the Kennedy Space Center on the 3.2 mile Shuttle Landing Facility’s runway, breaking the previously held top-speed record of 267.80 mph which the Veyron Bugatti Supersport had accomplished. Built in the USA by Hennessey Performance, the 1244bhp twin-turbo LSX equipped monster also holds the Guinness World Record for 0-300km/h of 13,63 seconds and the Hypercar World Record for 0-200mph of 14.51 second.
With it’s Carbon Fiber and Composite/Aluminum Hybrid Monocoque-Space Frame chassis, at 2743lbs, this mid-engine, rear-wheel drive work of art, is built with the intention of being the king of the road. It’s not just power here, but a focus on utilizing state-of-the-art technology to build a World-Record shattering vehicle.
On display at P1 Motorcars until recently when this particular Venom GT was sold to an “undisclosed buyer”, the Venom GT was leaving visitors in awe. As much as it’s presence can be felt but just sitting in the shop, when the engine roared to life, that’s when it truly made it’s presence known around Stamford. With just 29 of the Venom GT’s being made, each one is a celebrity, and this one was no different. For the customers and visitors of P1 Motorcars, it was one of those rare opportunities that don’t come too often for car enthusiast to experience first-hand.
