Gold Standard
You have likely seen the “24K coupe” at Honda Day, read about it recently in Honda Tuning Magazine, or happened to “liked” at least one of the many pictures of the coupe that have gone viral on the interweb. Famous? Sure. But what makes this coupe stand out from most other builds is that this vehicle is not your typical show car, spending most of its days waiting for a weekend cruise to an event nor is it your typical race car that tears up the asphalt then gets right back onto a trailer after a few runs.
There are various types of enthusiast, but the most common ones fall into three categories. Those that care only about show, stance, fitment and just looking good. Those who are die-hard, “I-could-careless-how-i-look-just-as-long-as-I’m-in-front” racers. And there is the majority of enthusiast that fall into the category of wanting to build a car that has the best of both worlds. The 24K coupe is a prime example of a build that brings together power and elegance and sets the standard for how a true driven-regularly-street-car should be setup.
The notoriously ugly streets and highways of the 5 boroughs is not a deterrent for this daily driver. On any given day, you will find 24K sitting in front of VRaceworks, Uptown on Broadway or cruising around town. Don’t be surprised to even see 24K ripping through the gears. Warning. 500+ whp on the street can get ugly for the next lane real fast.
24K too pretty for the streets of New York City? On the contrary, the coupe looks right at home in the heart of Manhattan, the borough she resides in.
