Tuner-Evolution North Carolina
Tuner-Evolution North Carolina 2014
Tuner-Evolution brought their premier event to the Charlotte Metro Area earlier this month. On November 1st, Cabarrus Arena in Concord, North Carolina was the place to be. Showcasing some of the South’s best examples of tuner-built rides, over 300 vehicles were on display in the 100,000 square foot arena. It was awesome to see all the inspirational examples of properly built rides reppin’ the Dirty South.
The North Carolina show was confirmed and announced a week-and-a-half after their Philadelphia show in August, which only gave the Tuner-Evo team two months of planning, marketing and execution for North Carolina. But even with a short notice, the show participants came out in full force. Being that this is the first time Tuner-Evo has ventured out of the Northeast with their events, it was interesting to see some differences in the car community representation. One notable factor was the larger number of two-wheel drive rides such as 350z/370z, Silvia/240sx, S2000, etc in North Carolina compared to the larger number of four-wheel drive tuner rides such as Subaru WRX/STi’s and EVOs that are more common from the Philadelphia shows.
This was a great opportunity for some of the finest examples from the South to come together and inspire others to build quality rides and to continue to grow the car community. We look forward to what 2015 has in store!
