The OFFSET KINGS Long Beach

Saturday morning April 5th, the first Offset Kings of the year was in full swing! This was my first time visiting a show put on by the Fatlace crew and it did not disappoint. This shows set up was unique in that it was actually right by the Formula D long beach track. I could walk the grounds admiring these clean cars while hearing the sounds of the big power drift machines getting sideways in the background, can’t beat that! I’ve always been interested in seeing some of the builds the west coast has to offer. I did not know what to expect. I was happy to see some of the cars I have been a big fan of on various social networks in person. My Buddy Tim and I walked the show grounds during the competition break and practice rounds of FD Long Beach to capture these immaculate machines. Check them out!

Slammed static FR-S! No way in hell this would be possible in NYC!

Loved how this S13.4 paid homage to the glory days of JDM option with the www.v-opt.co.jp windshield banner. So much style.

Haven’t seen an Amuse widebody s2000 in this color before. Definitely a show stopper.

Not many of these GS platforms in VIP style. At this show there were 2! This one was was extremely well done.

5 series made famous by 1013mm!

Slammed Subie on RPF1’s. Keep the purists away from this…

All types of win here! This NSX and Porsche though…damn good.

Bo$$ VIP Celsior!

Couple more shots of this excellent Silvia.

Speaking of Silvias, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a cleaner Zenki. Again, shades to the good old days of JDM when these cars weren’t too far from new.

IMG_0178

Euro vs JDM! I wouldn’t mind either one of these slammed sedans.

IMG_0191

Static Z33 with a special message on its vanity plate for the doubters.

Black Kouki with a clean OEM style, nice.

Love me some raw BMW’s!

SUPERMADE S14. Another example straight out of a JDM magazine.

I’ve never been a big Hyundai fan but had to give this one props.

IMG_0256

Dream car spotted. Lovely OEM looking FD3S sitting pretty on TE’s. The sporty look of the GS next to it was also meets SNTRL’s approval, haha.

IMG_0262

Check out the mismatched TE’s!

Mini VIP feature coming up from this point. This purple Vertex’d GS300 on Equip’s spent the day breaking necks.

IMG_0295

Perfect fitment and stance in my opinion. Great build but it was the car behind it that dropped my jaws…

IMG_0300

IMG_0308

Absolutely killer look on this LS! Full AIMGAIN kit and slammed proper! Shout out to the owner for a sick build.

GS bootays! New VS Old? Which do you prefer?

The infamous “Devil Wing” MR2.

May favorite example of the shot had to be the Fatlace shaved ice bus. I’m not even a vdub guy but this thing is just perfection.

IMG_0329

Filled with shaved ice goodies!

All about the details!

Good times at Offset kings! It was great to get a taste of what west coast car life is like. We’ll be back soon enough to enjoy it a bit more. There was actually another car that grasped my attention all day long. Stay tuned for a quick spotlight post highlighting that VIP machine!
