SEMA 2014 Part 2
This year marks the first time I’ve been to SEMA. After watching this event from afar, it was finally time for me to experience it myself. Once October hits, the conversations of traveling to this event start circulating almost daily. “Are you going to SEMA?” is probably the most asked question of the fall in the car scene. Those who are able to go are full of excitement while others who can’t are often checking out the #sema2014 hashtag for a glimpse of the action. One of the reasons I thought SEMA was great, aside from the epic builds, is getting to see and meet all of the people in the industry that I admire or am already friends with. One massive gathering of like minded individuals can never be wrong in my opinion. That’s why I had a blast at SEMA. My favorite part of the show had to be the outside. Indoors was fun, as seen in Part 1. There were some amazing cars in there, but being outside, the vibe was perfect. Beautiful weather, people and of course, the builds. The cars spotted outside are more my taste because many of them are owner cars. The cars that this industry event exists for. These people came from all over the country to display their pride and joy. Shooting these was a damn good time. Let’s check out some of the outdoor builds scattered around the show grounds captured by myself, Patrick Manzon and Al Norris.
Bulletproof Automotive came through with 3 R35’s! This one, awesome example of a custom GT-1 inspired wide-body without the use of bolt on fender flares.
Boostelo reppin’ the East Coast at SEMA. Car is looking as good as ever.
Another East Coast car out of the SOTRENDY crew. Heard this was driven all the way back home East. Much respect for that!
Wide-bodies everywhere! Check out the insane Smart car below
Owner of this car runs a small blog called Stancenation. Maybe you’ve heard of it?
Modern touch to the RWB look, what do you think?
Another familiar car from our neck of the woods. Fitting in perfectly in the SEMA atmosphere.
^ Let me guess, you’d hit that?
Blanco’s FRS in the cut.
One of the other Bulletproof R35’s. Varis Kamikaze-R inspired build. Glad to see someone did this on American soil!
This was one of my favorite cars at SEMA. Custom widebody GS with a GT car inspired look. Why the F not? Too good.
There were quite a few awesome VIP builds to see. Each one with a different style but all looking damn good. I love a proper VIP LS!
Rocketbunny S15 heading to Formala D next year. Hope it can stay this pretty for a bit. Probably not though…
Monster/Dub booth full of Liberty Walk!
Kato’s Kenmeri. Probably my favorite car of the entire show.
458 rear. Hope they fixed it!
JDM Kyusha. So damn good. That wraps up our outdoor SEMA coverage. We have a few shoits from the rollout coming up. Stay tuned for those!
