Honda Day Atco 2013

Honda Day represents a culture that has inspired thousands upon thousands of enthusiast throughout the world for over two decades. If Honda culture didn’t positively inspire you to love it, it may have inspired you to feel another way, but no matter how you cut it, there is a good chance it had an impact on your outlook as a car enthusiast. Arguably the most influential car-maker brand for car enthusiast over the past 20 years, as measured in sheer numbers, you very likely have a strong opinion of where you stand. The passion of the fans and competitors for Honda is so well-represented at Honda Day. Continuously breaking attendance records at Atco Raceway, in New Jersey each spring, this year was no different. The fans were hitting the road, on their way to Atco, well before sunrise. If you happened to arrive anytime around noon or thereafter, you learned the hardway, not to come late to a Honda Day event. The sold out lines on Jackson Road that leads to the raceway, stretched miles upon miles, with law enforcement from multiple municipalities working together to ensure that traffic moved along smoothly.

Over 15,000 fans, and over 800 vehicles at Atco raceway for Honda Day Atco 2013, fans and competitors enjoyed intense 1/4 drag racing that showcased 9-second all motor Hondas and 8-second turbo Hondas battling it out all weekend. The spirit of competition, team work at its finest, and the stands jam-packed to max capacity, cheering on their heros. It’s amazing how far the level of Honda drag racing has risen in the past 10 years. Who would have ever known that we would be cheering on racers breaking deep into single digits all day long. In the show area, the debut of the “VIP” section showcased cars pre-selected for those that submitted their rides beforehand. The show featured some of the sweetest Hondas and Acuras from all over the East Coast. Honda Day’s continued growth, impact and success is a testament to the passion of the fans. Considered by the die-hards to be a holiday of celebrating what they love, Honda Day is more than just a car event. It’s about enjoying something that truly means something special to so many people.

For the Honda Day Atco 2013, the Honda Day team put together a beautiful Honda Civic EG hatch, fitted with a K-series motor, and only the most proper parts, including Spoon Racing, which was one of the sponsors for Honda Day. You can’t go wrong with a great build. Having a chance to be a Honda Day give-away car makes everything that much more awesome.

Special thanks goes out to the Honda Day team for putting together and awesome event. We are already counting down the days to Honda Day Englishtown 2013 in August!
