Liberty VIP Presents Black 2

VIP, or Bippu as it is pronounced, originates during a time when Japanese gangsters switched from the more exclusive and rare(in Japan) European luxury vehicles such as Mercedes and BMW to their JDM counter-parts in an effort to avoid unwanted attention from the local authorities. In an effort to retain the style, class and prestige they enjoyed with their euro vehicles, they modified their Nissan and Toyota sedans with an elegant yet extreme style that featured wide, flush/negative camber stances to go along with unique, limo style treatments. Through the years, VIP has grown to have its own cult following in Japan and throughout the world.

Here in the US, present-day, particularly the east coast, the VIP movement has been making noise thanks to Liberty VIP, a car club that has gone above and beyond what most car clubs normally do, inspiring the masses with automotive masterpieces that in the past, one would normally find only by doing a search on the internet for “VIP cars” on google. Liberty-VIP last year debuted their first VIP car show, Black. This year they brought Black 2 to Englishtown Raceway in Old Bridge Township, New Jersey, bringing the only North American car show that targets strictly VIP style and luxury communities.

Black 2 delivered as promised, with some of the sickest VIP cars we have seen on the east coast. Familiar old faces with new added touches as well as some new faces that wow’d us, Black 2 shows us how the VIP culture in the US and on the east coast has evolved.

Check out the coverage and don’t forget to check the full gallery below afterward.

Bippu old-school Previa looking fresh. We would have loved to see more Bippu style JDM vans! Sure enough, as the VIP firestorm grows on the east coast, we expect to see more minivans rolling wide, stanced and styled.

To accomodate the wide, aggressive stanced nature of VIP, we have seen some amazing fender work, and it only continues to get better and better. Lips, lips, and more lips!

With a VIP specific car show comes VIP specific awards. Take for example this award which goes to “Best Suspension/Lowest Driveable”.

Libery-VIP brought out some pretty cool modified ice-coolers on wheels, cruising around the show area and raffling these bad boys off.

That bee stayed on the headlight of this Infiniti M and wouldn’t leave. We aren’t surprised. This ride was so sweet it thought it was on honey.
Corny, but true!
