Lamborghini Mercy Rapid Response Unit
Glen Cove sits on the North Shore of Long Island, New York, adjacent to Long Island Sound, and in recent times has really been well-known among the automotive communities throughout the Metropolitan New York area for its Thursday Night Cruise Nights which start up on Thursday, May 3rd and go on every Thursday (5pm-10pm) throughout the spring and summer months up until the end of September. The Cruise Nights draw some of the most awesome rides and enthusiast, and the city of Glen Cove has opened her arms and embraced all who have attended. What else has been making noise out of Glen Cove? Martino Auto Concepts AKA MAC. If you happened to have attended the New York International Auto Show at the Jacob Javits Center earlier this month, you would have seen some of MAC’s incredibly fine examples of automotive art. The same goes for Eurofest this past weekend where “Team MAC” vehicles were drawing crowds left and right. Haven’t had the privilege to see a MAC vehicle in person? A simple search for “Martino Auto Concepts” via Google Images will give you eye candy for days.
Bringing a new meaning to the phrase, “Rapid Response Unit”, this Lamborghini Murcielago was built as a tribute to the Glen Cove Fire Department by MAC. Likely one of the fastest (and one of the “hottest”) emergency response vehicles in the world, who wouldn’t get out of the way to see this Rescue vehicle flyby with its sirens lit up? Sporting HRE Vintage Series 454‘s, the Murcielago gets the job done while looking beautiful. Andrew Link took a trip out to Glen Cove and got right to work capturing the essence of the Lamborghini Mercy GCFD Rapid Response Unit. Enjoy!
