Kevin’s Wish Day
The Make-A-Wish Foundation has been doing incredible things for children with life-threatening medical conditions since 1980. This is no exception for Kevin, a teenage car enthusiast, wishing to build his own Honda Civic with his brother. Here at SNTRL, we were able to witness his wish come true. It was a chilly fall evening in NYC, Kevin arrived with his family in a limo on Saturday, November 23, 2013. A first in the history of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Kevin’s wish to build his ride, was unique, particularly for those that weren’t familiar with car culture. The Make-A-Wish Foundation utilized the expertise of the guys at VRACEWORKS, to help put together an ambitious parts list based on Kevin’s intentions. Going with a K20A at the heart of the build, Kevin’s dream parts list is filled with over $20,000 of the most top notch parts from around the automotive world. VRACEWORKS worked closely with their industry partners to ensure that the mountain of parts would be delivered in time at their headquarters in Manhattan, in time for Kevin. Each time a child’s wish is granted, it brings hope, strength and joy to children in their time of need. This was accomplished that very day. Stay tuned to the unveiling of Kevin’s EK hatch!
Make-A-Wish® grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. On average, a child’s wish is granted every 38 minutes. The Foundation believes that a wish experience can be a game-changer. This one belief is what guides them and inspires to grant wishes that change the lives of the kids that they serve.
