This year, summer seems to have flown by in the blink of an eye. To be honest, lately its been slightly difficult to keep track of the time. Most of us are too caught up in our passion to even realize how many hours or days have passed. Even our hours of sleep have been reduced without us noticing. This was our general feeling on September 18th, as we met up at 4:30am for the drive down to Baltimore for the Import Alliance End of Summer meet. Earlier this year, SNTRL’s own Norman Midence flew out to Import Alliance Nashville meet. Seeing how incredible that event was, when we heard the next one was going to be in Baltimore, we were pretty much guaranteed to attend. That morning, we meet up with our friends at UniqueAuto and began our journey down the I-95.

Spotted this beautiful flared out GC on the way.

After a few hours of some fun on the road, we finally arrived to Baltimore. The relief of finally arriving was slightly short lived due to an unsuspected visit by the local authorities.  Al Norris’ facial expression says it all…

Much to our relief, Baltimore’s finest were only there to make sure we realized where we were. Apparently this was the Baltimore hood, we had no idea. ‘The Wire’ is what most people were referring to we told them about our visit to this part of America. Being from the Tri-State, most of us were unfazed by the warnings. The crew kept on prepping the cars and snapping shots here and there. Eventually, some of the locals started showing up…

We would have loved to stayed for a chat, but at this point, it was time to go. The cars were clean and lenses ready.

We were lucky enough to have the officers escort us down to the meet location. An ironic sight. A crew of Hondas (including an authentic CTR), an Evo, and a GTR being lead by a squad car instead of being pulled over by one.

After that interesting experience, we finally rolled in, stretched our muscles and were ready for some good times. This time around, both Ken and Edo were on the scene, primed and ready to capture the sights of Import Alliance. This was the end of summer meet, but the signs of summer were still here, strong. Awesome cars, the mandatory burgers and hot dogs, and the laughs/conversation of both new friends and old. Time passes by, but most of were not ready to let go of this season. With that being said, let’s have a look at what was the day at Import Alliance Baltimore.

We can we say? Did Import Alliance live up to our expectations? HELL YES! The sheer number and quality of automobiles was just stunning to say the least. We heard a few people talking about how the Tennessee stop was much better, but that was then, this is now, and now, was awesome. So to wrap it up, big shout outs to the team at Import Alliance for putting this event together. We’re definitely in for the next one that comes around this area.
