The Juice Box

Staring at Warren Lau’s 335d sitting pretty in front of the Brooklyn Bridge and Manhattan skyline doesn’t necessarily conjure up mental images of a Ssips Juice Box. But, there is more to the name than meets the eye. Being one of the more rare factory twin-turbo 3-series on the road today, the “d” in 335d stands for diesel. In this day and age when gas pumps prices rise like the sunrise, power and efficiency are key. Is it possible to have mpgs, whp and lb/ft together? BMW and Burger Tuning have an answer for that in the form of a the Juicebox Diesel tuned 335d.

After selling his matte grey vinyl wrapped full bolt on with methanol injection 335i (gasoline), Warren wanted something just as fun to drive while trying to save. He was originally going to purchase an Acura TSX but figured that he’d end up turbocharging the car and spend even more money. He wanted something with practicality and savings in mind but still without sacrificing driving satisfaction. The 335d was the answer.

About two weeks into owning the car, Warren already bought a new set of wheels (TE37SL’s). He then lowered the car on KW varient 2 coilovers to achieve a height he wanted. Good looks, driving thrills and getting almost 30mpg in city/highway with the pedal to the floor = win/win for the juicebox! Stoptech Trophy big brake kit on deck!

TE37’s + Euro = pure sex. Not the most common site, and we are thankful for that.

Enjoy the view. 🙂
