Da Mayor

The car community isn’t just about a group of guys standing in a parking lot checking out other cars, it is about building long lasting friendships. Believe it or not cars are just mediums for something much more important. What people fail to see is that a car community like any other community is woven with great people that support each other by offering a wrenching hand or company during a meal. One of these great people is Kenny Chan. Instead of spotlighting just the car sometimes its important to recognize a person because lets face it, cars come and go and the person is what remains and often enough its to another car.

He’s everywhere, hence his nickname DaMayor. If you are apart of the car community in NYC you will know exactly who he is, and he needs no introduction. After a few notable Nissans, this M37 is unique in form. Matched with BC racing coilovers (one of the first prototypes for the y51) and a set of custom 20” Matte-Black Kranze Cerebus III by Weds, it looks like a yakuza member’s daily vehicle or something out of Kill Bill. Exclusivity is the name of the game and Kenny has this game cornered with a one-of-a-kind wheel set provided by RavSpec.

Regardless of the pricetag that comes with this exclusivity, Kenny continues to drive everywhere. Having the frame just 2 inches off the ground in addition to a long wheelbase can have its drawbacks but riding around static is a mantra in itself. From Long Island, to the NYC boroughs, to New Jersey, this Infiniti makes its rounds, breaking necks. Just recently, Kenny and his sedan won 1st place for best Infiniti at Wekfest East and the success will now transfer to his newly found car business called AutoVision which is offering clients a new way purchasing a car though incentives catered to the client. Kenny is always on the move.

Whether’s its car meets, car shows, or helping people, Kenny is anywhere and everywhere. More than just a car enthusiast with an awesome VIP Infiniti, Kenny has earned his reputation within the car community for being the person he is. If you see Kenny on the street, be sure to say what’s up to DaMayor!
