2012 New York International Auto Show

Tuesday 10 April, 2012 | By SNTRL

It’s that time of the year again! The New York International Auto Show is back in full force for 2012 at the Jacob Javits Center, and with it comes debuts of new models to go crazy about, 2013 model year vehicles to plan for and Concepts to dream about the future. Always a fun time, you can expect most of your favorite automakers present and ready to excite.

For the 2012 NYIAS, the big themes are the continued Horsepower wars and Efficiency. In the past, this would have been an oxymoron in the simplest form, but with stricter fuel-efficiency laws coming into effect in the near future, alternative fuels/energy sources, and technological advances in engine building/engineering, it is truly an awesome time to be a car fanatic. Combine all those together with some truly incredible automotive designs that in recent times have gotten more and more aggressive, and this is why the 2012 New York International Auto Show is the place to be!

Jaguar’s have changed dramatically over the years, but this is not a bad thing.

The Audi R8 GT Sypder brings a lighter more powerful Sypder R8 to the streets, all while looking oh-so-beautiful.

The official debut of the BMW M6 and M6 Convertible.

Twin-Turbo power now is the heart of the new M5. BMW‘s aim for better efficiency while attaining high power comes in the form of boost.

Another example of the direction BMW is looking towards.

As you can see, Dodge is definitely going hard at the youth target market with their New Dodge Dart. Aggressive and affordable.

Fly away with the Mercedes SLS.

A big hit at the NYIAS, the NSX concept had Paparazzi at every corner for most of the day. Luckily, we got in early enough to beat the crowds.

Even the domestic truck game is an eye-opener. The new F-series and Dodge Ram’s are jaw-dropping.

Not just about the late model vehicles, the NYIAS had a good number of professional racecars, as well as old classics like this Jaguar and Porsche.

Vintage two-wheelers were easy on the eyes.

Mercedes Sprinter is the best way to travel in class and luxury while maintaining room and comfort.

Lotus’ display and vehicles was setup beautifully. The late model lineup carries the Lotus tradition well.

One of the biggest highlights of the NYIAS is the 2013 SRT Viper. Dodge/Chrysler did a great job on the debut, wow’ing the media. We guarantee, all show-goers will leave with a strong impression from the all new Viper.

New York’s International Auto Show deserves only the best. No proper auto-show is complete without a Bugatti Veyron in attendance.

Ford has truly out-done themselves with the latest Mustangs. Class, looks and the power to back up its heritage.

Audi’s TTRS. We love it.

Infiniti feature Red Bull’s F1 Racecar was a big treat.
