Usually, when we post coverage about the Manhattan Meet, it usually entails, good food, a massive amount of cars, a pretty crazy cruise through the city followed up by some pictures at South Street Seaport. But this time around, Umali and the team decided to take things a step further. With October being Breast Cancer Awareness month, the original plan was to have the Meet/Cruise take place in October. But conflicting schedules, and concerns with safety in regard to Halloween weekend forced the event to get pushed to the first Friday of November.

Officially dubbed “BOSS Out for BOOBIES”, 100 custom wrist bands were produced and sold with all proceeds going towards the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Breast Cancer Center. To help assist in getting the crowds around 53rd and 6th hyped up, SNTRL’s own PENO of the Scavenger Drift Crew from the Bronx, NY, had his custom Breast Cancer Awareness R/C Drift car tearing up some concrete, with the BOSS Out for BOOBIES “banner” cars as a backdrop parked-up looking beautiful.

The turnout was great, even with temps dipping into the 30’s that night. “Boss” status through the streets of Manhattan, as over 100 cars started from 53rd and 6th, right through Times Square to South Street Seaport. Always an eventful evening during the Umali Meet’s, tonight was no different. When the cruise approached the Seaport, the FDNY was there doing their job with a potential fire-call. Nonetheless, it’s always awesome to come together for the purpose of doing something positive.
