Behind the scenes at NYIAS

Sunday 14 April, 2013 | By Pravan

Last year, I was fortunate enough to ride along with a larger than life Z06 out of NYC; this year I was given the same opportunity. If only you could see how much work it takes to get the New York International Autoshow (NYIAS) setup, you would be amazed at the amount of coordination needed to complete the tasks. Between union workers putting up light fixtures and booths while cars entering the display areas, its quite a hectic time.

Last year’s Z06 was wrapped in satin pearl white by FRSHVNYL and it looked great. Accompanied by two other member of Trendsettaz Auto Club, the Z06 was in great company. The other two cars consisted of a supercharged M3 and a very familiar red DC2 built for last year’s Honda Day.

After some talk, I asked about the impeccable exterior of the DC2 which was smooth as glass. With further poking an prodding, I was told how it was detailed by Big “A” Detailing. I’ve had my fair share of trying to detail my own car but the paint was flawless. To see how the transformation was completed by Big “A” Detailing click here.

Naturally, I had to arrange to shoot the DC2 once it left from the NYIAS. We metup around Lafayette street in Soho and went to business during the magic hour. Check below for the results!

See you guys next year!
