Q-Tip X Busta Rhymes at BHF

You know, there’s nothing like summer time in NYC. I know I’m probably repeating myself but the abundance of subculture in this city is one of the reasons that some of us can never leave. Known for so many things. The home of the dirty water hot dog, racers causing a ruckus, the Yank’s, and the birth place of Hip Hop. As you know, there is definitely no shortage of Hip Hop history on these streets. If you’re lucky enough, you might be able to witness moments in time that would have only existed in the glory days of that genre. Last weekend, one of those moments came to life. It happened when Q-Tip brought out a special guest to the stage of the Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival. None other than the incredible Busta Rhymes. I remember blasting these tunes at countless house parties in the Bronx, Queens, and BK. Shades of the old school. If you weren’t there to witness it, its all good. The good people at BrooklynBodega (who also organize BHF) captured it all – Observe the rhyme and check out the scenario.
